I wanted to give you an update on the status of the [Job Title] position at [Company Name]. We received a large number of applications and are still interviewing other candidates for the position. These interviews will be conducted over the next [time frame, eg two weeks]. After all interviews have been held, our hiring team will go over all of the applications, resumes, and interview notes to determine which candidate is best suited for the position.

If your application is not selected, we will send an email to let you know that you were unsuccessful. We will, however, keep your resume on file in the event that a more suitable position opens up.
